Corrections Policy

What we do when information is wrong, outdated or unclear.

Accuracy matters

If we identify a material factual error, we aim to correct it rather than leave inaccurate information live. Minor spelling or formatting changes may be made without a correction note.

Material changes

When a correction changes the meaning of an important recommendation, specification or conclusion, we may add an update note and change the article’s modified date.

Technology changes

A statement can become outdated without having been wrong when it was published. Software plans, firmware, product availability and model ranges change quickly, so we update content as new information becomes available.

Report an issue

If you believe a page contains an error, please use the Contact page and include the page title, the point you believe is incorrect and, where possible, a reliable source that supports the correction.
