Betopper LM1915R stage light — UK fire-risk report

The report concerns the LM1915R and an inadequately constructed plug fuse. It should not be generalised to unrelated lighting products or models.

Trezor newsletter phishing incident

Trezor reported that a breach involving its email provider Brevo affected a newsletter database. Fraudulent messages attempted to persuade recipients to download an application and enter a wallet backup. Trezor says its wallets, products and account systems were not compromised.
Essential action: never type a wallet seed phrase or backup into a website or downloaded application. Anyone who did so should follow Trezor’s official instructions and move funds to a newly created wallet. This incident should be described as newsletter-provider phishing, not a hardware-wallet hack.
Microsoft September security updates
Lifecycle: updates released 8 September 2026. Urgency: high.
Applicable fixes cover Windows, Office, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server and other Microsoft products. Home users should allow Windows and Microsoft applications to complete their updates and restart when required. Businesses should prioritise exposed services and identity systems, using controlled testing where operational needs demand it.

NETGEAR router firmware and end-of-support warning
Lifecycle: fixed firmware available; advisory updated 8 September 2026. Urgency: medium.
Affected models include XR1000, XR1000v2, XR500, RAX30, RAX35, RAX38, RAX40 and RAXE300. Owners should match the exact model and install the corrected firmware listed by NETGEAR. The XR500, RAX38 and RAX40 are identified as end-of-support; replacement is the safer long-term route where continued security support matters.
