The Tools and Tech has personally used equipment from the sim racing setup below and continues testing during visits to a friend’s house. Detailed session notes, measurements and final verdicts will be added as testing progresses. Inclusion here is a record of the equipment being evaluated, not a finished recommendation or a score.

Manufacturer specifications are identified separately from personal experience. We have not published old order screenshots, treated historic order amounts as current prices, or inferred that every component can be combined without checking the exact mounts and software.

Wheelbase, bundle and interchangeable wheels
SIMAGIC Alpha EVO Ultra + GT Neo Bundle
The supplied order identifies an Alpha EVO Ultra and GT Neo bundle. Enter one bundle price, with £0 for an included component tracked separately. Confirm pedals and mounting hardware independently.
What we are checking: Verify bundle contents and do not charge the included wheel twice. Personal observations and verdict pending.
Manufacturer base specifications plus user-supplied bundle identification
SIMAGIC Alpha EVO Ultra 28Nm Wheel Base
Manufacturer lists 28 Nm maximum torque. Compare the full rating with the cockpit and exact bracket assembly; a lower software setting is not blanket mounting approval. The supplied order includes this base inside the bundle.
What we are checking: 28 Nm exceeds the listed 13 Nm and 25 Nm NLR cockpit ratings. Personal observations and verdict pending.
Manufacturer exact-model specifications
SIMAGIC GT Neo Steering Wheel
Track the rim separately when useful, but avoid duplicating its cost if included in the Alpha EVO Ultra bundle. Confirm quick release, firmware and any adapter required for another ecosystem.
What we are checking: Requires a compatible base/connection; not a complete wheelbase. Personal observations and verdict pending.
SIMAGIC NEO-X 330T Steering Wheel
The 330T is one configuration in the NEO X family. Compare reach and rim shape with the GT Neo; selecting it does not include a wheelbase or establish console support.
What we are checking: Confirm the exact hub, quick release and paddle package. Personal observations and verdict pending.
Powered pedals
MOZA mBooster Active Pedal
Pit House configures the active pedal for brake, throttle or clutch duties. With a SIMAGIC base, plan separate PC device/software integration; check pedal mounting, power, additional pedals and supported games.
What we are checking: One active pedal is not a complete throttle/brake/clutch set. Personal observations and verdict pending.
Cockpit
PRO SIMRIG PSR1 Sim Racing Cockpit
Manufacturer lists Alpha EVO Ultra support for the SIMAGIC EVO edition. A generic PSR1 or different mount is not automatically the same assembly; confirm the purchased bracket combination.
What we are checking: Seat, sliders and mounts can be separate; choose the exact wheel-mount edition. Personal observations and verdict pending.
Shifter and handbrake
SIMAGIC TB-RS Hydraulic Handbrake
A separate hydraulic handbrake. Keep its cost and mounting independent from the shifter; verify the exact connection for the selected PC rig.
What we are checking: Check mounting, USB/CAN route and game bindings. Personal observations and verdict pending.
SIMAGIC DS-8X Dual Mode Shifter
Keep the shifter as a distinct budget line from the handbrake. Review driving discipline, lever reach and the mounting position before buying extras.

Seat, mounts, motion and accessories
PRO SIMRIG 4mm Steel Seat Side Mount Brackets
Order identifies the 4mm steel brackets. Measure the actual seat and slider assembly; thickness alone does not establish fit.

PRO SIMRIG Double Locking Seat Slider
A separate seat adjustment component. Account for its added height and ensure both rails lock after every adjustment.

PRO SIMRIG Integrated Single Monitor Mount — PSR1 660mm
The order specifies PSR1 660mm. A rig-attached monitor moves with the cockpit; compare a separate stand before adding motion.

MOZA HMA150 Haptic Motion System
The current manufacturer system uses four actuators for pitch, roll and heave. The order says HMA150 actuator: confirm whether that purchase contains the complete four-actuator system. This is a motion system, not a seat vibration pad.
What we are checking: Confirm actuator quantity, profile adapters, load and clearances. Personal observations and verdict pending.
PRO SIMRIG PSR1 Front Mount Bracket
Treat this as one part of a mounting assembly. Confirm with the supplier how it pairs with the separately ordered SIMAGIC Alpha EVO brackets and wheelbase.
What we are checking: A generic front bracket does not prove Alpha EVO Ultra fit. Personal observations and verdict pending.
SIMAGIC Alpha EVO Front Mount Brackets
The wheelbase manufacturer lists front mounting accessories, but the retailer SKU and complete PSR1 assembly still need checking. Do not substitute an older Alpha-series bracket.

Sparco Grid Q QRT Racing Seat
The order names Grid Q QRT. Check the actual model label, shell dimensions and bracket pattern; its suitability for this simulator does not establish approval for road or race-car use.

Sabelt G33 Sim Gloves — Royal Blue, Medium
Sim gloves with external seams and a silicone-printed palm. Compare fit, heat and control reach with your wheel; do not infer motorsport protective certification from sim use.
What we are checking: Medium is the tested order size, not a universal sizing recommendation. Personal observations and verdict pending.
SIMAGIC Long Handle
The supplied order only says Long Handle. Match the actual part/thread to the target device. Do not assume that a handle for one SIMAGIC peripheral fits every other model.
What we are checking: Official page lists TB-1, Q1 and Q1S; TB-RS and DS-8X fit remains unconfirmed. Personal observations and verdict pending.
SIMAGIC Wheelbase Extender
The screenshot shows an electronic extender, not a shaft extension. SIMAGIC publishes a WheelBase CAN Extender P-E114 for Alpha/Alpha EVO; confirm your unit matches before relying on that compatibility.
What we are checking: Match the actual model label: order name alone does not prove P-E114. Personal observations and verdict pending.

PRO SIMRIG QuickSet Triple Monitor Stand — Heavy Duty, VESA 100
User confirms the stand has now arrived; the older screenshot does not reflect current receipt status. Check the Heavy Duty / VESA 100 variant and monitor clearance. The old £0 line is not a current product price.
What we are checking: VESA 100 means 100 × 100 mm; check all screen weights and room width. Personal observations and verdict pending.
What testing will cover
- Installation and exact part identification, including mounts, adapters and bundle contents.
- Driver fit, seat comfort, glove fit, heat and control reach over longer sessions.
- Wheel, pedal and peripheral setup with the actual PC, software and games used.
- Motion calibration, emergency-stop access, floor stability, cable slack and display clearance.
- Comparisons only after the conditions and observations are recorded.
No session duration, measured performance result, star rating or favourite has been invented. Specifications describe the manufacturer’s claims; experience sections will contain our own recorded observations.
