Smart strength equipment now covers very different types of gym
The difference between a portable motorised cable engine and a complete digital-resistance station is substantial. Choose by the exercises and room you actually have, and account for all mounting and accessory costs before choosing a headline price.
| Exact model | UK reference quote | Strength format | Manufacturer listing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speediance Gym Nano | from £1,799 depending on mount | Portable electronic cable engine | Gym Nano |
| Speediance Gym Monster Ultra | £6,499 — sold out when checked | Large all-in-one digital strength station | Gym Monster Ultra |

| Echelon Strength Adjustable Dumbbells | £299 pair promotional | 3–24 kg mechanical adjustable weights | Echelon dumbbells |
Speediance Gym Nano: check the rack, not just the machine
Speediance describes Gym Nano as weighing approximately 8.2 kg and delivering up to 100 kg of digital cable resistance, with fine load increments. Unlike a complete freestanding gym, the unit uses a mounting arrangement: the sliding rack and fixed rack mount have different compatible upright and mounting requirements. The manufacturer currently refers to 14 December 2026 dispatch for a pre-order configuration. Confirm the exact mount, compatible rack, assembly loads, service terms and delivery date rather than treating the reference price as immediate shipping. A second unit may be advertised as a pair configuration with a different total cost.
Speediance Gym Monster Ultra: flagship station
Ultra is distinct from Gym Monster 3 and Gym Monster 3S. Speediance specifies up to 120 kg electronic resistance, two 1,000 W motors, a multi-grip pull-up station, 33 cable positions and an approximately 0.88 m² training platform. These are manufacturer claims, not our tested lifting figures. The UK product page showed sold out alongside the £6,499 quoted price, so this link is for evaluating the specification and requesting stock information, not a claim of immediate availability.
Echelon Strength+ versus ordinary adjustable weights
Echelon’s £2,799 Strength+ system addresses guided resistance workouts within its connected ecosystem. Confirm the real exercise selection, safety release, service continuity, included bench/attachments and any applicable class membership. For people who already own a gym rack, bench or training plan, the £299 advertised Echelon adjustable dumbbell pair (approximately 3–24 kg selectable weights) could meet basic needs with much less software dependence. They are not computer-controlled resistance, and the free-weight limits and included trays must be considered separately.
Total ownership and compatibility
Compare the exact base machine with optional handles, racks, benches, floor protection, weights, shipping, installation and any premium subscription. Do not add a bench twice if a seller’s chosen Station/Studio bundle already contains one. Verify load ratings, room dimensions and manufacturer instructions before installation or exercising. New product photography will be added only with demonstrable exact-model editorial permission.

Before buying
Always verify exact model and generation, UK warranty, regional availability, stock, delivery fees, setup requirements, subscription renewal terms and the final price directly with the supplier. Optional accessories can substantially change the cost. Product image rights will be recorded before photographs are added.
