Multi-Screen Monitor Mounts UK: Dual, Triple, Quad & Freestanding Units

Research-led buying guide, checked 26 October 2026. We have not installed or tested these mounts. Manufacturer specifications identify candidates; they do not guarantee fit for a particular monitor or desktop. Confirm the exact part number, current manual, complete kit and delivered UK price before buying.

Multi-screen mounting starts with the layout you need: two screens side by side, one above another, three across, a four-screen grid or a larger control-room arrangement. A freestanding desk unit can avoid a rear clamp, while a floor-standing frame can hold sim-racing screens independently of the cockpit. This guide covers the mounting hardware; monitors and computer display outputs are separate purchases.

Choose the mounting format

  • Dual desk arms: useful when the two screens need individual positioning. Two separate single arms can also work when their bases and movement paths fit.
  • Vertical or stacked mounts: preserve desk width, but the upper display’s position must suit the work. Check pole height, vertical separation and actual screen dimensions.
  • Triple desk mounts: suit three smaller screens across a broad desk. Articulation and screen width determine whether the outer displays can achieve the desired angle.
  • Freestanding desktop units: place a weighted base on the desktop. Measure its depth, usable desk space and stability in the intended configuration.
  • Quad and six-screen systems: require a complete load and layout check. Count the supplied mounting heads and any additional rails, posts or clamps.
  • Wall mounts and rails: move the load to the wall. Verify its construction, the fixing design and cable clearance; seek an appropriate installer where the substrate or load is uncertain.
  • Floor-standing simulator frames: need space around the cockpit, accurate panel alignment and a supported screen arrangement. A triple-screen upgrade kit may require an existing base.

Ergotron LX Pro Dual Side-by-Side — 45-686-292

A premium candidate for independently positioned office displays. Ergotron specifies 1.8–9 kg per monitor, 75 × 75 / 100 × 100 mm VESA and a 10–60 mm desktop clamp range. Its nominal screen guidance is up to 27 inches; screen depth can reduce supported capacity. The grommet base is an extra. Trade-off: cost and rear movement clearance. Check the exact model and UK buying/quote route at Ergotron.

Ergotron LX Pro Dual Stacking — 45-690-292

Consider this configuration for an upper reference display or a mixed portrait/landscape arrangement. The current LX Pro configuration sheet identifies this black stacking model separately from the side-by-side version. Trade-off: vertical reach and the screen dimensions determine the useful positions. Confirm its own load limits and included base; single-arm or older LX specifications do not establish fit. Check the stacking model at Ergotron · LX Pro configuration sheet.

StarTech ARMTRIO — three-screen desk mount

A pole-mounted option for three 13–27-inch displays, rated at 8 kg per screen with 75/100 mm VESA. The manufacturer describes clamp and grommet mounting for 10–80 mm desktops. Trade-off: a common crossbar and pole provide less independent vertical freedom than separate arms. Check bezel width and outer-screen angles. Check ARMTRIO and its UK purchase options.

StarTech ARMBARTRIO2 — three-screen freestanding unit

This desktop stand supports three 13–27-inch displays up to 8 kg each, with 75/100 mm VESA and alignment adjustments. Trade-off: the base occupies desk space and needs a stable surface. Check the current manual’s positioning limits before extending the screens. Match the TRIO2 suffix: the earlier ARMBARTRIO has a separate discontinued listing. Check ARMBARTRIO2 · Exact-model datasheet.

StarTech ARMBARQUAD — four-screen desktop unit

A freestanding two-crossbar design for four 13–27-inch screens up to 8 kg each. Its 75/100 mm VESA mounts allow a two-by-two arrangement. Trade-off: upper-row height, total desktop load and base depth need checking together. Loading one side or changing the screen arrangement must follow the manual. Check ARMBARQUAD and UK purchase options · Exact-model datasheet.

Atdec AWMS-6-46275 — six-screen workstation

A two-post modular solution for six screens, with the manufacturer describing support for displays up to 32 inches. This is a specialist procurement candidate for monitoring or control desks. Trade-off: the exact arm, post, clamp and monitor combination needs a configuration check. Use Atdec’s UK configuration page and obtain a complete regional quote including both desk fixings; a product page does not establish stock. View the exact black configuration at Atdec.

Next Level Racing — Free Standing Triple Monitor Stand

The original model is a floor-standing simulator frame whose manufacturer lists three 32–65-inch screens. Trade-off: it needs substantial floor space and careful panel alignment. Verify its exact model and load limits: the newer Round Tube stand and Elite add-ons have different specifications. An Elite triple add-on requires its compatible single-stand base. Check the original stand · Compare the current UK stand range.

Up-and-over and overhead screen mounts

An upper screen can hold telemetry, chat, reference material or monitoring tools above the main display. Choose between a desk-mounted vertical stack and an overhead support attached to a compatible simulator frame. Check the usable tilt angle, viewing distance, head clearance and secure mounting of the upper display. A desk arm’s portrait rotation does not establish that it supports a screen suspended over the user.

Next Level Racing Elite Freestanding Overhead / Quad Monitor Stand Add-On — Black Edition

The manufacturer lists support for 21–43-inch screens, with 275 mm vertical and 350 mm horizontal adjustment and 48 degrees of tilt. It adds an upper display to a compatible Elite freestanding monitor system. The supporting stand and screen are separate: confirm the exact base, current load limit, VESA pattern and all required attachment parts. Check the exact freestanding overhead add-on.

Next Level Racing Elite Direct Mount Overhead Monitor Add-On — Black Edition

This cockpit-mounted option is listed for screens up to 32 inches, with 100 mm vertical and 239 mm horizontal adjustment and 48 degrees of tilt. Check the exact compatible cockpit and direct-mount assembly; the add-on is not a freestanding unit. Next Level Racing recommends a freestanding monitor solution when considering its Motion Plus or Traction Plus platforms because motion can affect the screens. Check the exact direct-mount overhead add-on.

Buying scope: these are manufacturer research candidates checked 26 October 2026. Confirm current UK supply and complete installed cost. For general desks, compare the LX Pro stacking model above; purpose-designed ceiling or wall overhead installations need their own explicit orientation and fixing approval.

Check the complete installation before buying

  1. Record every monitor: exact model, weight without the original stand, VESA pattern, width, height, depth and any required adapter. Include attached accessories in the supported load.
  2. Check individual and total capacity: a total rating is not a per-screen allowance. Spring arms may also have a minimum load. Curved panels can place greater torque on the tilt head.
  3. Measure the supporting surface: desktop thickness, material, underside frame, cable tray and rear-wall clearance. Manufacturer-approved reinforcement must suit the particular desk; it does not automatically make an unsuitable surface safe.
  4. Plan the geometry: verify screen centres, portrait rotation, upper-row height, arm sweep and clearance when a sit/stand desk moves. Leave cable slack through the full movement range.
  5. Confirm the whole bill of materials: mounting heads, crossbars, posts, clamps, grommet fittings, adapter plates and any base required by an add-on. A picture with several screens does not establish what is supplied.
  6. Check computer support separately: a mount adds no video outputs. Confirm GPU/dock display count, resolution, refresh rate and required cables before ordering the screens.
