Roto VR Explorer: UK seated VR motion chair buying guide

Research-based product profile. We have not tested this chair. Manufacturer information checked 25 October 2026; confirm the final configuration, availability and delivery before ordering.

Roto VR Explorer is a motorised 360-degree chair for seated VR. A head tracker drives its Look & Turn rotation, and built-in rumble provides haptic feedback. It is an alternative for seated immersion, not a VR treadmill: it does not let you walk or run in place.

Who it may suit

Quest owners who mainly play seated games or use VR media and want physical rotation rather than a standing walking platform. Roto describes charging through its basic cable magazine and sells optional seats and accessories; check what is included with the exact Explorer package.

Fit, space and compatibility checks

  • Roto lists a 130 kg supported weight and 84 cm clearance for the standard Explorer. Check the complete safe rotation area, chair adjustment, seat fit and nearby cables or furniture.
  • The manufacturer focuses on Meta Quest and says other standalone headsets may work. Check the specific headset, title and movement mode before buying; broad game-count claims do not establish every game’s behaviour.
  • Roto’s Explore page mentions PC simulation use, while the current product FAQ says the PC cable magazine/PC VR route is coming soon. Ask Roto to confirm the current hardware and software path if PC VR is essential.
  • Follow the supplied setup and safety instructions. Roto’s motion-sickness statements are manufacturer claims, not an outcome we have independently measured.

Potential drawbacks: seated rotation is not walking locomotion; accessory, headset and PC connection choices affect the total setup. Confirm warranty, returns and any delivery charge at checkout.
